NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) – The Border Patrol says an Arizona agent working along a Nogales border fence fired at rock throwers while breaking up a drug-smuggling attempt, and one of them might have been wounded.
Nogales police Chief Jeffrey Kirkham told the Nogales International (

The FBI was called in to investigate as an assault on a federal officer.
Nogales, Mexico, police say they interviewed a man who was shot in the arm and the stomach. He denied any involvement in the drug-smuggling operation and says he was walking down a street when he was wounded.
