Main Street Minute: Z’Tejas to present Phoenix-area nonprofit with $21K donation

• A popular Mexican restaurant in the Valley will present a local charity with donations raised through a months-long fundraising event. Z’Tejas will donate more than $21,000 to the Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club at a ceremony on Friday. The money was raised through a fundraiser involving one of the restaurant’s most popular foods: Cornbread for a Cause. It will be used to support local kids’ charities that the group supports.
• More than 1,000 Chase employees will take to the streets of Phoenix to revamp four schools in the south Phoenix area on Saturday. They will scrape gum off sidewalks, paint a ramada, install a misting system and more. More than $15,000 in supplies will be donated.
