PHOENIX — Get those umbrellas ready, Phoenix: The National Weather Service is calling for cooler temperatures and possible rain in the next few days.
The weather service said clouds will begin moving into the Phoenix area on Thursday and is calling for chances of rain on both Friday and Sunday.
While the clouds may stick around, the rain will likely be cleared out by the Monday morning commute.
The weather will also cool off. Wednesday’s high was expected to be nearly 100 degrees, while Friday’s is a balmy 81 and Sunday’s is just 75.
The weather service said the clouds and rain is courtesy of a low pressure system from the Pacific.

The clouds will bring Phoenix’s temperatures closer to where they should be. The average high in April is 84.5 degrees.
Phoenix isn’t only city with a chance of getting moisture. Flagstaff will likely be hit with showers on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and will see its high temperatures drop from nearly 70 degrees to just 46 by Sunday.
Tucson will see some chances for rain on Thursday night going into Friday and a slight chance on Sunday.
Arizona needs all the moisture it can get, as the touted El Nino weather pattern that was expected to bring a lot of precipitation all winter long was a bust.
Arizona’s snowpack was expected to be melted by the end of last month.
