Attorney General Jeff Sessions made the announcement Tuesday, the administration had put an end to an Obama-era program that granted temporary work permits to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children.
A six-month delay will allow Congress to decide whether it wants to write legislation to protect the so-called DREAMers.
KTAR News’ Martha Maurer joined KIRO Radio News 97.3 FM in Seattle Tuesday afternoon to talk about the decision to rescind the DACA program.
In this interview with the Ron and Don Show, Martha spoke of her past as an undocumented immigrant and explains the reaction from both sides of the issue.
Live from the KTAR Newsroom Martha also broke down the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and what happens next.
