PHOENIX – Diners at a Phoenix-area casino will soon have a sky-high view of their surroundings when a rooftop restaurant opens later in the fall.
Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass said Prime, a Shula’s Steak House, will serve up its first meals in November on a new 11-story tower.
An exact date was not announced in a Tuesday press release.
The second tower and restaurant are part of a $143 million expansion project at the site near Interstate 10 and Pecos Road in Chandler.
Upgrades also include 205 rooms, poolside suites, cabanas and a 21-and-over-only swimming pool.
Restaurant decor will focus on neutral earth tones with leather accents and stone tabletops, Gila River Gaming Enterprises said.
“We found the perfect synergy of dining and destination,” Kenneth Manuel, CEO of Gila River Hotels and Casinos said in the release.
Once dinner service ends, the restaurant will be transformed into a late-night spot, 11ven at Prime.
The casino will get a makeover too, with new colors, different carpeting and new lighting. Convention space will increase by 18,000 square feet inside.
Wild Horse Pass Casino opened in 2009; ground was broken on the expansion, its first, in 2020.
