Westbound I-10 in Phoenix reopens after fatal collision

PHOENIX – A fatal collision closed part of Interstate 10 in Phoenix early Thursday, authorities said.

Westbound lanes were shut down near 67th Avenue; the northbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway ramp to I-10 westbound also was closed.

The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m.

The freeways reopened around 7:30 a.m.

No other details were immediately available.
