PHOENIX — There’s plenty to do in the Valley on this long weekend, from festivals to food markets and the return of the Rock ‘N’ Roll Arizona Marathon.

Here are some of the biggest events around the metro Phoenix area.


Phoenix

  • Disney On Ice Dream Big

    • Time: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Sunday at noon and 4 p.m.
    • Venue: Footprint Center (201 E. Jefferson St.)
  • The Hello Girls
    • Day: Each day
    • Time: 8 p.m. on Friday, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sunday
    • Venue: Phoenix Theatre Company (1825 N. Central Ave.)
  • Tango Argentina
    • Day: Friday
    • Time: 7 p.m.
    • Venue: Madison Center for the Arts (5601 N. 16th St.)

Scottsdale

Glendale

  • Skate Westgate
    • Days: Each day
    • Time: Various
    • Venue: Westgate Entertainment District (6751 N. Sunset Blvd.)

Mesa

  • Newsies
    • Day: Each day
    • Times: 7 p.m. on Friday, 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, 2:30 p.m. on Sunday
    • Venue: Mesa Arts Center (1 E. Main St.)

Tempe

  • Rock ‘N’ Roll Arizona Marathon
    • Day: Saturday and Sunday
    • Time: Various
    • Venue: Various, races start in Tempe at University Drive and College Avenue. 5K race starts at Mill Avenue Bridge.

Chandler

  • FunBox: World’s Biggest Bounce Park
    • Days: Each day
    • Times: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday
    • Venue: Chandler Fashion Center (3111 W. Chandler Blvd.)

Peoria

  • MLK Day of Service
    • Day: Saturday
    • Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Venue: Peoria Community Center (8335 W. Jefferson St.)
