Weekend drivers face Loop 202 closures in East Valley

PHOENIX – Drivers on portions of Loop 101 and Loop 202 in the east and south Valley will face restrictions this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed from Tatum Boulevard and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
In the East Valley, northbound Loop 101 will be closed between U.S. 60 and Southern Avenue in Tempe from 4 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements.
Eastbound Loop 202 San Tan Freeway will be closed between McClintock Drive and Price Road in Chandler from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for lane striping. All Interstate 10 ramps to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed.

Finally, in west Phoenix, the northbound 202 South Mountain Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes near Buckeye Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday for construction.
Southbound Loop 202 narrowed to two lanes between Broadway Road and Salt River bridge from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday for construction.
