PHOENIX – The upcoming Phoenix Pride Festival has replaced one of its featured performers with a Grammy Award winner.

Mýa is stepping into the 7 p.m. slot on Nov. 6, the first night of the Saturday-Sunday event, in place of singer Melanie Fiona, who pulled out because of her pregnancy, organizers announced last week.

Mýa, a singer/songwriter/actress, won a Grammy along with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Pink for best pop collaboration with vocals for “Lady Marmalade” from the “Moulin Rouge!” movie soundtrack.

In another lineup change, Kandy Ho is replacing April Carrion in RuPaul’s Drag Race Puerto Rican Invasion on the festival’s Latin Stage on Nov. 6.

The 40th version of the event, delayed a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, will take place from noon to 9 p.m. Nov. 6-7 at Steel Indian School Park.

The associated Phoenix Pride Parade, which runs up Third Street from Thomas Road to the park at Indian School Road, starts at 10 a.m. on Nov. 6.

Visit the event’s website for the full lineup and ticket information.
