PHOENIX — After a stormy weekend in the Valley, more rain is forecast to roll into metro Phoenix on Wednesday and Thursday.

Clouds are expected to begin increasing during the day on Wednesday before a 40% chance for showers and thunderstorms during the night, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms to continue in the morning hours on Thursday. The moisture is forecasted to move out of the area by the afternoon.

The high is expected to be 107 degrees on Wednesday and 105 degrees on Thursday.

It appears the Valley may dry out for a few days as there is no rain forecast for the rest of the week and through the weekend, while high temperatures are expected to hover around 105 degrees.

Parts of Phoenix and Scottsdale in the past week have received 0.79 inches of rain, according to the Maricopa County Flood Control District rain gauges, while some parts of the South Valley got more than an inch of rain.
