PHOENIX — U.S. Sen. Martha McSally will be going on one last campaign tour around Arizona as Election Day approaches.

The McSally for Senate campaign and Arizona Republican Party on Friday announced the statewide AZFighter Tour.

“Our motto is you can sleep when you’re dead. We’re trying to save the country,” McSally told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Arizona’s Morning News on Friday.

McSally, Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward and Treasurer Kimberly Yee will be campaigning throughout the state on Sunday and Monday.

The first day of the tour will include a special guest, as Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas will join the campaign on Sunday.

The tour will feature 11 cities which will be visited by the following schedule:

Sunday, Nov. 1:

  • 9:00 a.m. — Tucson
  • 10:30 a.m. — Sierra Vista
  • 12:30 p.m. — Casa Grande
  • 2:30 p.m. — Payson
  • 4:00 p.m. — Show Low

Monday, Nov. 2:

  • 9:00 a.m. — Flagstaff
  • 11:00 a.m. — Safford
  • 1:00 p.m. — Phoenix
  • 3:00 p.m. — Yuma
  • 5:00 p.m. — Kingman
  • 7:00 p.m. — Prescott

“It is battleground, we are dead heat,” McSally said of the Arizona Senate race. “It’s going to be now the only poll that matters is when they count up the votes. It’s going to be about who gets the ballot in, who shows up to vote today for the last day of early voting, who goes to the polls on Monday.

“It’s an honor to serve Arizona, and I’m asking for your vote. Please get out there and vote.”

Democratic challenger Mark Kelly was ahead of McSally 50%-45% in OH Predictive Insights’ final survey of the election cycle released Tuesday.

The same poll from Oct. 15 also had Kelly leading McSally, 50%-45%, which reflected a 5-point swing in her favor from a September poll.
