PHOENIX — Scottsdale’s Fate Brewing Company is gearing up to host the first ever Sour and Sweet Beer Fest that’s coming to Old Town on Saturday.

The inaugural festival will be held at The Clayton House located at 3719 N 75th Street in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, according to a press release.

More than 50 light and sour beer options will be offered at the craft beer festival from 13 different Arizona breweries.

“A crisp lager or sour hits differently on a hot Arizona summer day,” said head brewer of Fate Adam Schmeichel in a statement. “So, we thought ‘why not bring together the best light and sour beers our brewing community has to offer into one festival?’ Thus, the Sour and Sweet Fest was born.”

Some participating breweries include: O.H.S.O Brewery, Grand Canyon Brewing Co., Ranch Hand Brewing Co., 12 West Brewing Co. and State 48 Brewery among others.

Food options at the festival include the Dilla Libre, Frence Me an Eis cafe food trucks, the release said.

With doors opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, general admission tickets for the festival are on sale for $45 and includes 15 tasting tickets and a commemorative glass.

VIP tickets are being offered for $65, which gives attendees a 12 p.m. entry time and a commemorative t-shirt.

Eventgoers can also bring along their designated drivers for a $10 admission. Tickets can be purchased here.

Free parking will be available near The Clayton House in the Civic Center Library garage and attendees must be 21 or older.

Fate Brewing Company first opened its doors in 2012 and featured seven-barrel brewhouse. In 2015, the brewery expanded to 15 barrels.
