PHOENIX — A Scottsdale man was arrested Tuesday on sex trafficking charges after he was found with a child missing from out of state, authorities said.
George Keith Mosley, 31, faces a total of 20 felony counts in a case that began at a Scottsdale hotel in July, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
Officers were called to the hotel to investigate fraud involving Mosley and while conducting surveillance, witnessed the suspect leaving with a teenage girl.
At that time, Mosley was arrested solely on the fraud investigation. Detectives then spoke with the girl and discovered she was missing from out of state. The child eventually was reunited with her family.
Police continued to investigate Mosley and found evidence of potential human trafficking.
Mosley was determined to have sex trafficked the girl in multiple states, according to police.
He was arrested at a temporary residence on Tuesday and more evidence was found there after a search warrant was executed, police added.
Mosley’s charges include child sex trafficking, sexual conduct with a minor, illegal enterprise and money laundering.
