PHOENIX – The town of Gilbert recently ranked on a list of the top 50 best places to live in the United States.

Coming in at No. 46, Gilbert was the only Arizona city or town to make Money.com’s Best Places to Live in America list.

The ranking pointed to Gilbert’s rapid employment growth from companies like Banner Health and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. It also noted that it still boasts quiet residential streets and residents experience one of the lowest violent crime rates in the area.

The town was applauded for being closely located to places like the Tonto National Forest and having an impressive Heritage District.

The ranking included cities and towns with at least 25,000 residents and examined factors like economy, housing market, cost of living, heath and safety, weather and more.

Evans, Georgia, ranked as the best place to live because it’s a fast-growing town with the lowest-cost of living compared to places with similar high-income levels.

Parker, Colo.; Meridian, Idaho; Rockwall, Texas; and Columbia, Miss., rounded out the top 5 top cities to live.

We want to hear from you.
