PHOENIX – Arizona’s lottery hot streak stretched to a third day with a six-digit winner in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
A ticket for the multistate game from the Francis and Sons Car Wash at 79th Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Peoria matched four of the five white numbers – 25, 32, 43, 53 and 66 – plus the red Powerball of 10.
The combination is good for $50,000, but the player tripled the winnings by adding the $1 Power Play option to the $2 entry.
The Power Play multiplier amount is randomly selected before each drawing and increases prizes other than the jackpot by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
The Powerball jackpot went unclaimed Wednesday and will grow to an estimated $364 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Big Powerball win follows Arizona jackpot binge
Wednesday’s win came after Arizona Lottery players hit three jackpots the previous two days.
Monday’s The Pick and Triple Twist drawings had big winners, and Triple Twist doubled down on Tuesday with another jackpot.
The Pick jackpot winner, who bought a ticket at a Phoenix Circle K, won $1.6 million. The first Triple Twist jackpot, off a ticket from a Gilbert QuikTrip, was for $1.04 million. A day later, a Triple Twist entry from another Phoenix Circle K won the top prize, which had reset to $200,000 after the previous day’s jackpot.
