Police investigating homicide of 34-year-old man in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police are investigating the homicide of a 34-year-old man dead in Phoenix, authorities said on Saturday.
At around 2 p.m., Phoenix police received a calls about gun shots in the area of Thunderbird Road and 35th Avenue.
Upon arrival, police located a 34-year-old man who suffered from a gunshot wound and later died from his injuries at the scene, according to a press release.
Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives were led to 19-year-old suspect Joseph Macias and took him into custody, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing and no other information was made immediately available.
