Phoenix police investigating shooting that leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

PHOENIX — Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that left one man dead and two others injured, authorities said.

Officers were called to the area near 35th Ave. and Campbell Road just before 6 a.m. on Saturday.

When they arrived they found Jeret Perez-Garcia, 20, on the ground with a gunshot wound, according to a press release.

The fire department arrived at the scene and pronounced Perez-Garcia dead.

Police then found another man and a woman in the front yard with gunshot wounds, according to the release.

The two were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No suspects are currently in custody and the investigation remains ongoing.
