Phoenix man’s death being investigated as a homicide

PHOENIX — Police are investigating a Phoenix’s man’s death that was ruled a homicide, according to authorities.

On Monday, officers responded to the area of 22nd and Fillmore Street around 8:30 p.m. regarding a dead body.

Upon arrival, they located an adult male, later identified as 33-year-old William Cain. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

On Thursday, the Office of the Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy, and it was ruled that Cain suffered trauma that resulted in his death.

This case is now being investigated as a homicide. This is an ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480 (WITNESS) or 480 (TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Any information leading to an arrest in this case will result in a paid reward.
