Phoenix man sentenced to 5 years in prison for dealing fentanyl and methamphetamine

PHOENIX – A Maricopa County Superior Court sentenced a man to prison on Monday for dealing fentanyl and methamphetamine, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced on Wednesday.
Eduardo Cruz was sentenced to five years in prison, three years of probation supervision and ordered to pay $14,500 for selling nearly 10 pounds of drugs in Phoenix earlier this year.
In February, Cruz was found to have sold around 10,000 fentanyl pills, weighing 2.4 pounds. In March, he had 7.05 pounds of meth for sale.
Cruz was arrested by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and charged with conspiracy to sell a narcotic drug, a Class 2 felony, attempt to possess a dangerous drug for sale, a Class 3 felony and illegally conducting an enterprise, a Class 3 felony.
Cruz pleaded guilty to all three charges. Along with his sentence he was ordered to pay $4,500 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund and $10,000 in investigation costs.
