PHOENIX — A local award-winning brewery is opening its fourth Valley location, but this time with a twist.
Pedal Haus Brewery announced Tuesday that it plans to open its first biergarten in downtown Mesa later this year.
The eatery is stepping into the former home of the iconic Pit Stop autobody shop, located at Main Street and Robson.
“We are looking forward to debuting a completely new concept for Pedal Haus – the ‘biergarten’ – which will provide a fun, lively and largely outdoor space for people to enjoy great beer, delicious food, lawn games, live music and more,” Julian Wright, co-founder of Pedal Haus, said in a press release.
“We also look forward to being a part of the historic Pit Stop and helping to preserve and re-purpose the 1950s structure.”
A 6,000-square-foot dog-friendly patio will anchor the biergarten. Visitors can expect a park-like atmosphere featuring an indoor-outdoor bar, fire pits and a stage for live music.
“Downtown Mesa is the perfect location for Pedal Haus’ new biergarten,” Mesa Mayor John Giles said in the release. “It will add a new dimension to our growing local brewery scene.”
The biergarten will have all of Pedal Haus’ beers on tap as well as favorite signature dishes such as smoked wings, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese and maple butter, bratwursts and burgers.
Pedal Haus opened its first location in 2015 on Mill Avenue in Tempe, followed by a location in Chandler and one opening soon in Phoenix.
