Phoenix — The Old Town Holiday Festival is returning to Peoria on Saturday for a night of free holiday fun.

The festival will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the historic streets of Old Town Peoria near 83rd and Grand avenues in Osuna Park and the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts.

Some of the activities attendees can partake in include a tree lighting ceremony with a visit from Santa Claus and experiencing live entertainment and festivities, the city said in a press release.

It also will have bounce houses, roaming high school choirs from Peoria, local merchants and vendors selling gift items, a gingerbread house display, holiday photo opportunities and food trucks.

“This year we have the opportunity to bring the community together once again to celebrate the holiday season,” Marylou Stephens, Peoria arts and events manager, said in the release. “We are very happy to bring this holiday tradition back and featuring a variety of new elements”

The tree lighting ceremony will commence at 7:15 p.m.
