PHOENIX – Park West, a shopping and entertainment center off the Loop 101 at Northern Avenue in Peoria, continues to unveil components of its $4 million renovation investment with the opening of a new splash pad for children’s entertainment.

The feature is in the same shape as Park West’s logo, an agave flower, and is surrounded by furniture for adults to supervise their kids. The shopping center also plans to add large format yard games to the entertainment area.

In a press release, Mayor Cathy Carlat expressed her excitement for the improved property.

“We are creating the future that serves our residents of today and those still to come,” she said.

Commercial Investment Real Estate Equity, the renovator of the West Valley center, is revamping the property to make it a premier family-friendly shopping and entertainment destination.

“We hope that it becomes a public gathering spot, where meeting new people and reconnecting with friends and neighbors is the norm,” said Jill Kobe, director of property management at CIRE Equity.

With temperatures reaching 110 degrees this weekend, kids are going to love cooling off in the new water feature. As part of the multi-million dollar renovation, the shopping center will also be installing misters this summer to help battle the desert heat.
