PHOENIX – Music icon Bob Dylan returns to metro Phoenix in March, his Never Ending Tour hitting the road after nearly a two-year break because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dylan will play at the Arizona Federal Theatre in downtown Phoenix on March 3, and then hit the Tucson Music Hall on March 4, according to the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s website.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com.

The Arizona dates are the farthest west the tour will reach.

Dylan originally was set to come to the Gila River Arena in Glendale in June 2020, in support of his album, “Rough and Rowdy Ways.”

He last played in the Valley on Oct. 4, 2018, at the same downtown site when it was called Comerica Theatre. That night, Dylan was onstage for 18 songs and two encores, according to Setlist.fm.

The Never Ending Tour, which kicked off in 1988, was canceled in May 2020, as COVID-19 continued its rise in infections across the country. The interruption was announced in a social media post.

The tour went back on the road in early November.

Dylan, 80, has been making music since the early 1960s. The folk rocker is best known for such hits as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” and “The Times They Are A-Changing.”
