More than $12M in cocaine and meth found in truck in Arizona

PHOENIX – An Arizona task force seized a haul of illegal drugs worth more than $12 million last week, authorities said.
Bullhead City detectives with the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team pulled over a tractor trailer on Interstate 40 west of Kingman at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Drug-sniffing dogs with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Mohave County Sheriff’s Office helped officers locate drugs in the truck, according to the Bullhead City police.
The truck contained about 370 pounds of cocaine and 220 pounds of methamphetamine, which police said has a street value of $12.7 million.
Beyan Mohammed Beyan, 30, and Samatar Shafi Ahmed, 36, were booked into Mohave County Jail in Kingman on charges of transportation of dangerous drugs for sale and transportation of narcotic drugs for sale.
