Officers received a call around 8 p.m. about someone having a gun at Betty H. Fairfax High School near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road.
A parent allegedly called 911 after her daughter told her that multiple male students were flashing guns during a campus school dance. When police arrived, witnesses led them to two young men who were outside the dance.
The young men were detained by police, but there weren’t any guns in their possession.
Who was involved?
School staff informed police about another young man wearing a gray hoodie who had a gun during the dance and was allegedly threatening students, according to police.
As soon as officers attempted to detain the suspect, he became combative and resisted arrest.

The minor was medically cleared and taken to a juvenile center for aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
