PHOENIX – A Mesa man was arrested for allegedly texting unsolicited nude selfies to multiple female realtors in three East Valley cities, police said Dec. 6.

Following an investigation involving three law enforcement agencies, Chandler police arrested Jay Cameron Leonard on Dec. 3, who faces a total of eight counts of computer tampering.

Leonard allegedly sent lewd pictures of his anatomy to a Chandler woman in April 2019. Investigators then located other female victims in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and California.

After his arrest, Leonard admitted to sending the photos in cases investigated by the Chandler and Gilbert police departments, police said.

The texts, sent over an eight-month period, usually were sent along with a message reading “hello gorgeous” or “hello beautiful,” police said.

Leonard allegedly got the phone numbers from real estate advertisements in fliers and magazines.
