Man finds boa constrictor under truck after commute from Mesa to Scottsdale

Nov 13, 2024, 5:27 PM

PHOENIX — A pickup truck driver made an un-boa-lievable discovery on a commute from Mesa to Scottsdale on Wednesday.

The man parked his truck and noticed a boa constrictor sticking its head out from under the vehicle, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

Firefighters arrived and had to remove the truck’s undercarriage skid plate to remove the snake.

The reptile, which was unharmed, was placed in a box and given to the Phoenix Herpetological Society for care.

The snake is thought to be a pet that has gone missing — possibly from Mesa — due to its appearance.
