PHOENIX — The Super Bowl in Arizona is just 110 days away, and while the big game is happening in Glendale, much of the Valley will host events.

The Super Bowl Host Committee announced Monday a multitude of events happening throughout much of the Phoenix area.

NFL Executive Vice President Peter O’Reilly said at the announcement ceremony in Tempe that hosting a successful Super Bowl is more than just having a good football game.

“We couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Our focus is not only on Super Bowl Sunday and what the entire world will see, it’s laser-focused on the days leading up to the game,” O’Reilly said. “How can fans experience what the Super Bowl is all about?”

O’Reilly noted that the biggest event will be the Super Bowl Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center.

A ticket worth $20 will admit eventgoers for the chance to get autographs with players, to see the Lombardi Trophy up close and to play interactive NFL games and more.

The event differs from a similarly named free event, the Super Bowl Experience at Hance Park.

O’Reilly described the event “as a festival environment. It represents the local community with music and food…”

He added there would also be a first-ever Super Bowl watch party that is also set to take place in the park.

While those two events happen in Phoenix, there are plenty more happening around the Valley. Events like the Fan Duel Party at Tempe Beach Park and the 5K-9 Fun Run in Mesa are a couple additional events that have been announced.

O’Reilly said the events seem to get bigger and better each year, as they’re more interactive for fans and more cities are helping to create a great experience.

“Every city is part of what we’re creating here,” O’Reilly said.

Even if you can’t afford tickets to the actual big game, you can still get in the Super Bowl spirt.

“As a fan, in this market, you can curate a pretty amazing Super Bowl experience. I know only a limited few will be in State Farm Stadium on that Sunday, but you can really touch and feel Super Bowl this year in unique ways,” O’Reilly said.

We want to hear from you.
