Local nonprofit opens well-being campus in Scottsdale for youth, families

PHOENIX — Local nonprofit notMYkid recently announced the opening of its new well-being campus in Scottsdale for youth and families.
The 13,000-square-foot campus dubbed “The Well” is a place 10-to-24-year-olds and caregivers can go to for continuing education, counseling and mentoring programs, the organization said in a press release.
The well-being campus will offer other services, including education workshops and retreats, mindfulness and meditation, movement and yoga, sound healing and trauma-informed outpatient therapy.
“Our journey to opening The Well over the past six months has given us an incredible opportunity to completely transform how we serve and urgently respond to the second pandemic upon us, a mental health emergency,” Kristen Polin, CEO of notMYkid, said in a press release.
Polin added the nonprofit has “opened a licensed outpatient treatment center, developed critically needed peer support services, offer social emotional learning in partnership with schools, virtual webinars for caregivers, and we created a family navigation protocol to help families access the care they need.”
The campus located at 5310 E. Shea Blvd. is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with evenings available by appointment.
The organization is hosting an open house and tour on Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Dec. 2 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
