#LlamaWatch: Llamas loose in Phoenix go viral online

PHOENIX — Llamas made a break for it, running through the streets of Sun City on Thursday afternoon, stopping traffic and lighting up the Internet.
The animals ran wild northwest of Phoenix, but the entire nation seemed to follow their plight online.
Multiple networks followed the pair on live streams and Twitter, where the hashtag #LlamaWatch quickly became a trending topic.

They were both captured after about 30 minutes.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the llamas escaped during a visit to a nursing home near Thunderbird Road and 103rd Avenue.
Neither of the llamas were hurt and no charges were filed.
