PHOENIX — Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance has added a second Valley appearance to this week’s Arizona trip.

Donald Trump’s running mate will speak at the Arizona Biltmore resort in Phoenix on Thursday, the campaign announced Tuesday.

Vance was already scheduled to appear at a “Chase the Vote” event in Mesa on Wednesday.

Doors open for the Phoenix event at noon Thursday, and Vance is scheduled to deliver remarks at 3 p.m. The Biltmore is located at 24th Street and Missouri Avenue, a half-mile north of Camelback Road.

Anybody interested in attending can sign up online, with two free tickets available per mobile phone number. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

This week’s trip is the Ohio senator’s second to Arizona since Trump brought him onto the ticket in mid-July.

JD Vance in Arizona again after Trump, Harris rallies

As a battleground state, Arizona is a popular destination for candidates vying for the White House.

Vance previously spoke at Arizona Christian University in Glendale on July 31.

Trump followed that up with a campaign rally in Glendale on Aug. 23.

Trump’s event came two weeks after the Democratic ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz, Minnesota’s governor, rallied in Glendale.

Where else is JD Vance appearing in Arizona?

Vance’s first stop in Arizona this week is set for Wednesday at the Generation Church campus in east Mesa, where he’ll appear with conservative activist and Valley resident Charlie Kirk.

The event is presented by Turning Point Action, the political campaign arm of Kirk’s Turning Point USA organization.

The church is located on Ellsworth Road north of Southern Avenue. Doors open at 3 p.m., with preprogramming at 4 p.m. and Vance’s remarks scheduled for 5 p.m.

Entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis. People interested in attending can register online, but tickets won’t be required.
