Arizona will have a new governor since Republican Doug Ducey cannot run for the position again due to term limits.

Nine candidates will be looking to replace Ducey, submitting the required number of signatures to qualify for the ballot by the April 4 deadline.

The primary election will be held Aug. 2, and the general is Nov. 8.

On the Republican side, six candidates will battle it out. The primary winner will face one of three Democratic challengers.

Here are the gubernatorial candidates from Arizona who submitted enough signatures to get on the ballot, per the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office:

Karrin Taylor Robson — The former Arizona Board of Regents member is the founder and president of Phoenix-based land use strategy company Arizona Strategies.

DEMOCRAT

Katie Hobbs — Hobbs is Arizona’s Secretary of State, holding the position since 2018.
