PHOENIX — A 20-year-old Glendale woman was sentenced to four months in prison for assaulting a TSA agent at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport last year, authorities said Wednesday.

On Apr. 5, 2023, Ma’Kiah Cherae Coleman grabbed and forced an agent’s head down against a baggage screening area table and punched the agent several times before being restrained by other TSA agents.

She pleaded guilty to assault on a federal officer inflicting bodily injury on Apr. 23.

Coleman also received three years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

Coleman is banned from traveling by commercial aircraft during the three-year term of her court supervision.

U.S. District Judge Douglas L. Rayes oversaw Coleman’s sentencing in a Phoenix court.

The case was investigated by the Transportation Security Administration, the FBI and Phoenix PD. The prosecution was managed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.
