PHOENIX – Once Thanksgiving festivities conclude, the holiday season officially begins and it kicks off with Arizona’s largest free holiday light display known for the past 26 years as Glendale Glitters.

The holiday tradition that features 1.6 million lights across 16 blocks in Glendale begins on Friday, Nov. 29 and lasts until Jan. 11 with lights twinkling each evening from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Countdown to Glendale Glitters stage show gets things started on Friday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m.

Part of the celebration includes holiday entertainment, food, seasonal gifts, a children’s snowfield, holiday storytelling, a Home Depot Kids Workshop and Santa Claus.

Free parking shuttles will be available from Glendale Community College in the north parking lots during opening weekend.

According to VisitGlendale, $10 paid parking is available at the City Hall and Bank of America parking garage in addition to surrounding surface lots.
