PHOENIX — Looking for a way to help his friend battle an aggressive form of brain cancer, Aaron Shoemaker of Phoenix has decided to get a tattoo of the name of any person, brand or business that donates $5,000 or more.

Shoemaker’s friend, Josh Heidkamp, is a young husband and father of two, who recently had a baseball-sized tumor removed from his head.

“I was desperately trying to think of a way to help Josh and make people aware of what this amazing guy and family are going through,” Shoemaker said in a press release.

“People are really intrigued by the whole tattoo thing. It’s a great way to help Josh, while also bringing positive attention to a business, brand or even a person who wants to do the right thing.”

Shoemaker has already received one tattoo, getting “Anonymous for Josh” tattooed on his arm, done at The Golden Rule shop in Phoenix.

With Heidkamp expected to start chemotherapy soon, his family has set up a Go Fund Me account with the goal of raising close $60,000. Shoemaker stated that the fund has reached approximately 70 percent of the goal.

We want to hear from you.
