Foo Fighters to fly into Phoenix for 25th anniversary tour show in April

PHOENIX – A silver anniversary is a pretty special event. The Foo Fighters think so, too.
The rockers are hitting the road to revisit places they went on their first tour 25 years ago, starting in metro Phoenix in the spring, it was announced Tuesday.
Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters will kick off the 2020 Van Tour on in Phoenix on April 12 (UPDATE: Dec. 5) at Talking Stick Resort Arena, they said in a press release.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Arizona time. Presale began Tuesday.
Everyone who goes to the show will get a sneak peek at a Grohl’s documentary, “What Drives Us,” which focuses on what motivates musicians to pile into a van and tour the country.
Grohl founded the group in Seattle, Washington, in 1994, after his previous band, Nirvana, broke up after Kurt Cobain’s death.
The Foo Fighters have produced a string of hits, including “Learn to Fly,” “This Is a Call,” “Something from Nothing,” “Walk” and “The Pretender,” since then.
Grohl and his crew were last in the Valley in 2018.

This time around, the Foo Fighters will be playing to bigger audiences in bigger venues.
The tour ends July 31 in Montreal, Canada.
