PHOENIX — A dog adopted from an Arizona shelter has his paws all over a Disney movie that will premiere in November.
Monte, a 2-year-old, will star as Tramp in the live-action remake of the 1955 film “Lady and the Tramp,” according to People Magazine.
His part in the movie that showcases puppy love will be voiced by American actor Justin Theroux.
Monte was adopted from Halo Animal Rescue in Phoenix last year, according to an email from the shelter. People Magazine said he was adopted by Mark Forbes, one of the film’s animal trainers.
“His adopters say he’s been such a good boy and loving life,” the shelter said in the email. “We are all so happy for him and can’t wait to check out the movie when it comes out,”
“Lady and the Tramp” will premiere Nov. 12. The movie is only available on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
