Desert Farm Lights returning to West Valley for 3rd straight year

PHOENIX — The holiday spirit is primed to return to the West Valley, as Desert Farm Lights will make its third appearance this winter.
Over 1 million Christmas-themed lights will illuminate Justice Brothers Ranch in Waddell from Nov. 22 to Dec. 29, with plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
Desert Farm Lights is located at 14629 W. Peoria Ave., its entrance off of Reems Road and Hatcher Road.
Event hours are 5-10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 5-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The popular event was founded in 2022 by West Valley blogger Shanelle Kunz and offers a scented candy cane maze, train rides, a 90-foot gingerbread slide and Christmas ornament workshop among its many attractions.
Kunz was inspired to create the now-beloved holiday mainstay due to the lack of accessible Christmas activities for families in her community.
“We are thrilled to bring back this incredible holiday installation and be a place where unforgettable, magical Christmas memories are made,” Kunz said in a press release.
Pre-sale ticket pricing is available until Sept. 30, with ages 3+ going for $17.25. After Sept. 30, general admission is $23. Children 2 and under get in free.
The price of admission will give each guest access to parking, pictures with Santa Claus, a 10-minute Jolly Journey Train Ride, the 90-foot gingerbread slide, yard games and more. Some other amenities are available as ticket add-ons, such as ice skating, food and beverage and sugar cookie decorating. Each add-on is subject to its own pricing.
Guests can also purchase season passes for $39.49, and there are no blackout dates.
Live entertainment will cover each week this year, including balloon storytelling on Mondays through Wednesdays, live music performances on Thursdays through Sundays and special musical acts throughout the week before Christmas.
Desert Farm Lights will continue to make the event accessible for the handicapped and those with special needs. Two low-sensory nights on Nov. 25-26 will accommodate those with sound and light sensitivity, with private tents for resting, a low-lit atmosphere, softened music and a non-scented candy cane maze.
