PHOENIX — Contractors in charge of the audit of 2020 Maricopa County election results will present their findings to the Arizona Senate on Friday.

Lead contractor and Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan, CyFIR founder Ben Cotton and a selection of others will unveil their findings to Senate President Karen Fann and Judiciary Chair Warren Petersen at 1 p.m.

The presentation will be made at the state Senate chambers and be livestreamed online.

The highly anticipated results will come about five months after the audit began at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The materials were given to contractors with little to no election experience for what Fann has called a “forensic audit.”

Election experts say the 2020 election was secure and well-run, and the contractors are using bizarre and unreliable procedures.

The audit was originally set to take about 60 days, but there have been repeated delays.

Most recently, Cyber Ninjas canceled plans to submit its report last month saying several of its team members contracted COVID-19 and had serious symptoms.

Fann, Logan, volunteers who worked on the audit and several Republican senators who have vocally backed the review gathered last week for a celebratory “reunion,” according to numerous social media posts.

Sens. Paul Boyer and Michelle Ugenti-Rita have been among the only Republican legislators to publicly oppose the audit, which kicked off in an effort to find irregularities that could support former President Trump’s false claims of a stolen election.
