PHOENIX — Multiple U.S. 60 closures and a closure of Interstate 10 are among the restrictions scheduled for metro Phoenix freeways this weekend.

The westbound U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway continues to be closed between Loop 101 and McClintock Drive in Tempe as repair work proceeds on a water line break that occurred on May 7, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

West of downtown Phoenix, the eastbound lanes of I-10 are set to be closed between the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway and 19th Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.

Additional closures for the project are: both I-17 ramps to eastbound I-10 at the Stack interchange, northbound Loop 202 ramps – including the HOV ramp – to eastbound I-10, as well as the eastbound I-10 HOV on-ramp at 79th Avenue.

In the far East Valley, the westbound U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway will be closed between Goldfield and Meridian roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday for pavement sealing.

The eastbound lanes of the highway will then close between Meridian and Goldfield roads from 10 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.

In south Phoenix, the Broadway Curve Improvement Project narrows eastbound I-10 to three lanes near Ray Road from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Ray Road and the off-ramp at Chandler Boulevard are both set to be closed for the project.

In north Phoenix, drivers should also be aware of a closure of Greenway Road in both directions approaching I-17 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a regional drainage system project.

All I-17 on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road are also set to be closed for the project.
