PHOENIX — The city of Scottsdale is adding a new element to its holiday festivities this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Scottsdale will host the three-night Scottsdazzle Stroll — a socially-distanced walk along the canal banks of Old Town Scottsdale — from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29.

Scottsdazzle Stroll will feature holiday vignettes, seasonal lights, holiday characters and an oversized Christmas tree.

The event replaces the tree lighting and sing-along traditions that the city had put on in previous years.

Masks are required and the event, which will be held nightly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., is free.

Scottsdazzle, the city’s annual holiday celebration, is in its fifth year.

It will feature several smaller events such as the Scottsdazzle Stroll this year as a result of COVID-19.

More information can be found on the Scottsdazzle website.
