PHOENIX – Red Hot Chili Peppers will be spicing up metro Phoenix next spring, announcing a tour stop at State Farm Stadium.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will play the Glendale venue May 14 during a newly added North American portion of their 2023 Global Stadium Tour.

Tickets to the general public go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at SeatGeek.

Presales for VIP packages, prime seating and an artist presale begin at noon Tuesday. Another set of presales begins Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by a lone listing at noon.

Led by Anthony Kiedis, the band, together since 1983, will hit the stage after The Strokes and Thundercat at the Valley show, the seventh of 10 dates in the United States and Canada

Known for such hits as “Snow,” “Scar Tissue,” “Under the Bridge” and “By the Way,” the Chili Peppers aren’t resting on their Grammy Award laurels. The foursome released a pair of albums this year, “Unlimited Love” and “Return of the Dream Canteen.”

This will only be their second show here this decade. The Chili Peppers played then-Gila River Arena on Oct. 18, 2017.

We want to hear from you.
