Brat Haus hosts 13th annual Oktoberfest in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — Brat Haus will host its 13th annual Oktoberfest at its open-air beer garden in Scottsdale early next month.
There will be a variety of activities offered including a brat eating contest, live music and even a “Bad Ass Beard” contest. The festival runs through Oct. 5-6 from noon to 8 p.m. each day at the restaurant near Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard.
Scottsdale Mayor Dave Ortega will be present on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a special firkin tapping, which will feature Goldwater’s Brewing’s Oktoberfest beer.
Some of the beers that will be featured at the festival include Warsteiner Oktoberfest, Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest and the classic Jägermeister. Foods that will be served include Haus bratwurst, pretzel bites, The Big Weenie, chicken schnitzel with spaetzli and gravy, and more.
“We’ve always enjoyed celebrating Oktoberfest with our guests, this year is going to be bigger and better than ever with two days full of activities, food, craft beer, music and fun for all ages,” said Dave Andrea, owner of Brat Haus.
How much are tickets for Oktoberfest in Scottsdale?
General admission tickets are $10 per day or $15 for both days.
Advance tickets are available at the restaurant or sold at the door on each day of the festival. Children aged 12 and under are free.
The first 100 guests will receive a special gift. Limited edition commemorative steins are available for $7.
No dogs are allowed due to expected crowded sizes.
