Arizona fire department employee accused on child pornography charges

PHOENIX — An Arizona fire department employee was arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said Tuesday.
Agustin Julian Sauceda, 38, of Casa Grande, was indicted on nine counts of Producing and Attempting to Produce Child Pornography, five counts of Distributing Child Pornography, and one count of Possessing Child Pornography, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.
Sauceda was accused of producing child pornography involving a girl under 18 years old between August 2022 and July 2024, according to the release.
He also allegedly distributed child pornography via BitTorrent on five dates between June 2024 and September 2024. Finally, Sauceda was accused of possessing child pornography on a cell phone and SD card on Oct. 30.
Sauceda was an employee of the Eloy Fire District during the time period of the alleged crimes.

Sauceda could face a life sentence if convicted on all charges.
A count of producing child pornography carries a sentence between 15 and 30 years in prison, while each count of distribution of child pornography has a sentence between 5 and 20 years.
Additionally, a count of possession of child pornography has a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
The case is being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
