PHOENIX — I’ve been fortunate to meet many talented people. One of those people is Frank Caliendo.

Frank is not only the best in the business as an impersonator, he is also a brilliant joke writer. He makes both look very easy.

I loved talking with him about the creative process. For someone that is so well known and talented, he is soft spoken and humble. Hearing him do such familiar voices is incredible. But sitting next to him and watching him become the person he is impersonating is where you get to see just how talented he is.

I had such a great time talking with him and I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Amazing Arizonans is available at KTAR.com, the KTAR News app and everywhere you get your podcasts.

The podcast, which debuted in June 2023, has had more than 20 episodes spotlighting some of the best and brightest to come out of the Grand Canyon State. This is the start of the third season.

Previous guests on the podcast include Jerry Colangelo, Michael Crow, Jan Brewer and Al McCoy.

We want to hear from you.
