PHOENIX — The season finale of ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight” on Thursday night will feature four Arizona families who are battling for $50,000 and the Light Fight Trophy.

Lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse and famed interior designer Taniya Nayak will judge two displays from the metro Phoenix area and two from Tucson during the episode that is set to air at 8 p.m., the network said in a press release.

The Sepanek family in Phoenix have a nostalgic holiday display with 250,000 lights throughout their property along with flying reindeer that soar 75 feet above multiple window displays, the network said, while the Tasker family’s display in Laveen has over 400 handmade cartoon cutouts and Zooland animals repurposed from old appliances.

Down south, the Morales family lights up their Tucson neighborhood with 300,000 pixels that move to music along with snow they bring from the mountains.

Meanwhile, the Moussette family puts their holiday spirit on display for the 32nd year with over 150 handmade cutouts and a 20-foot Santa Claus cactus.

The 9th season of the holiday series began on Nov. 28 with this season being the first time the show has featured four families all from the same state competing for the prize.

Arizona has been well represented in previous seasons, with Christmas at Comstock in Gilbert in season three, the Preston and Taylor families in season four, the Richins and Birkett families in season five, David Chuchla’s house in season six, the Sanda twins’ display in season seven and World of Illumination in Glendale in season eight.

We want to hear from you.
