PHOENIX — Another residential high-rise will soon be added to downtown Phoenix’s skyline as ground was broken Monday on a 26-story mixed-use apartment complex.

The X Phoenix II at 201 W. Van Buren Street will feature 352 apartment units and is set to be complete in summer 2024, according to a press release.

Located adjacent to the recently completed 20-story X Phoenix, which has 330 units, the 632,442-square-foot complex will offer residents various amenities.

This includes 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor fitness space, a 1,500-square-foot pool with a poolside bar and restaurant, 15,000 square feet of coworking space, a rooftop dog run, a bike storage room with a bike wash and hundreds of parking spaces.

The complex is designed by a subsidiary of full-service firm Clayco and owned by Chicago-based developer The X Company, the same as the X Phoenix.

“We are thrilled to continue to play a part in the revitalization of downtown Phoenix,” Nate Shriver, director of development at the X Company, said in the release.

“Our partnership with Clayco was key to our success on the first phase of X Phoenix, and will continue to be on phase 2.”
