PHOENIX – The Arizona Lottery reported two sizeable wins over the weekend, including a Fantasy 5 Jackpot of nearly $150,000.

The winning ticket was sold on Saturday at Winners Corner, near Broadway Road and Roosevelt Street, in Tempe.

The winner matched all five numbers – 5, 9, 16, 31 and 34 – to hit the jackpot of $146,000.

Fantasy 5 is a statewide daily draw game that costs $1 per entry. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in about 750,000.

The game’s top prize resets to $50,000 after a player hits the jackpot.

What was the weekend’s other big Arizona Lottery win?

Meanwhile, a north Phoenix Powerball ticket earned its purchaser a $50,000 prize on Saturday.

The entry from the Sons Food Store near Shea Boulevard and 32nd Street matched four of the five white numbers drawn – 10, 45, 48, 58 and 61 — plus the red Powerball of 2.

The odds of hitting that combination in Powerball are 1 in more than 900,000. Drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. Each entry costs $2.

Powerball is sanctioned in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Saturday’s winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
