PHOENIX — An adult son shot both of his parents in south Chandler on Monday morning, authorities said.

The incident happened near McQueen and Chandler Heights roads, according to the Chandler Police Department.

Jeremiah Estel Blair, 19, was arrested and booked on two counts of attempted first-degree murder, according to the Chandler Police Department.

Blair’s parents were treated at a local hospital.

They’re currently alert and stable, police said in an update posted on social media at 3:35 p.m.

Police said the shooting was isolated and didn’t pose a threat to the community.

Authorities didn’t share further details surrounding the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
