PHOENIX — Gwen Walz, the wife of Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz, will be in Phoenix on Tuesday, one week before Election Day, the Harris-Walz campaign announced.

Over her stay, Walz will highlight the Kamala Harris campaign’s New Way Forward plan that aims to lower costs for families and create an opportunity economy. She will also focus on her personal fertility story, making her case that the Harris-Walz ticket will fight for reproductive freedom.

Walz is scheduled to appear at two events at TBA locations joined by local Democratic leaders, the campaign later said. The events are scheduled to take place in Phoenix at noon and south Phoenix at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

She was most recently in Arizona on Sept. 16, campaigning for public education in Phoenix before events in Flagstaff and Kingman.

This visit will come shortly after Gov. Walz had stops across Arizona on Saturday, on the Navajo Nation and in Phoenix.

Former U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton campaigned in Arizona earlier this month, just days apart from each other.

Harris is scheduled to return to Phoenix on Halloween, the same day as her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump.
